Sellers, have you ever had a buyers who waited longer than 7 days and after your third e-mail they finally reply telling you that their parent or favorite uncle was ill and they were unable to pay sooner?
Buyers, have you ever bought an item and after 3 weeks of waiting patiently, you start to feel agitated as your e-mails of "Where's my item?" are ignored? Finally one day the seller sends out the item telling you they had a death and the family.
I know it happens. However, it happens to me too often. I have a feeling that many of these people are not being honest. I hope for the sake of their loved ones that I am right. If I am right and you are one of those people who lie, I ask you this: why lie? Just be honest. I've been selling and buying on eBay for 9 years now. I've made my mistakes and I have always been honest. There's been times where I have forgotten items when I went to the post office. I just send it out my next trip with expedited shipping, or I might open the item up and toss in a freebie as a way of saying sorry. I think people are understanding. No one is perfect and the odds are pretty good that the person at the other end has been in a similar situation themselves.
Try it out just once or twice. It feels so much better to tell the truth. Trust me!
