Recently someone was asking me about how to bid on ebay. My advise to them was to enter their highest bid right away, if they were really interested in an item. When selling on ebay over the past years, I personally as a seller, do not have time to relist items because of the 1000s of items I have in line to sell. Since that is the case, I never relist an item. I will occasionally move an item to my ebay store if it does not sell, but usually at a higher Buy It Now price. I often find the item is immediately purchased at the higher price, after the auction. Too often buyers watch an item and do not bid in hopes that they can get it at a lower price when the seller relists the item. This is often a poor assumption on the part of a buyer. Buyers often assume that the ebay seller is forced to sell the item at a lower price if it does not sell the first time. Many ebay sellers, such as myself, have a variety of sources to sell at other them ebay, such as flea markets, personal web sites and other online auctions. I have had so many ebay buyers e-mail me following an auction and ask if I they could still purchase an item. They are then very disappointed to find out that the item is no longer available and they have missed bidding on something they really wanted. They are then in a position of waiting sometimes months or even years to find another item like it. My best advise to an ebay buyer is Bid On It Now........ Right Now!
