Well, there are already several guides on this but I thought I should write one too. I recently bought a black JX10 Jabra Bluetooth headset on eBay and immediately after it arrived I was annoyed with the horrible sound quality and the flimsy feel of the buttons, etc.
I called Jabra tech support and it turns out that the headset is a FAKE, the seller who sold it to me sold me a counterfeit headset. The folks at Jabra pointed out that the real JX10 does not have a drawstring pouch and also if it is a black JX10 the charger will also be black (most of the fakes have a silver charger). Finally if the last two digits of the product code (printed above the bar code) are 31 then it is a fake headset.
Don't make the same mistake I did, get a genuine headset from a reputable seller, even those with good feedback are selling these fake headsets.
