I've noted today and most recently many ads depicting cars that are easy fixes. "It only needs a starter, battery brake fluid etc". I'm in the business. If I had a car needing only a simple, less than $100.00 fix ,I'd do it before selling. I recently drove over 250 miles one way to get a car that was somewhat less than as described. In spite of asking numerous questions before purchase I had to refer the case to my lawyer. There are still a few rather dubious characters on ebay, I report and try to clean out as many as possible. The whole system is based on truth. Again , read closely what the seller is saying. Lost interest may mean just that, or out of money or found an expensive to fix defect. Only a little work will fix it up is usually a put off for me. Do the little work and then sell, it brings more money . Remember, Caveat Emptor. latin for buyer beware.
