I purchased a Dell laptop from PPRAIN in late October. It was advertised as ready to go, totally loaded with a built in Modem and built in Ethernet. It was also advertised as having WinDvd so all videos and Cd's could be played.
It does not have an Ethernet Controller, Multi Media Controler, Network Controler, 02 Micro Controler, PCI Modem or a Video Controler. It did not have WinDvD installed.
I cannot access the internet or watch DVDs.
Prior to discovering these problems I left a positive feedback. I sent them an email stating the problem and received a response telling me to flash the bios. I am a novice computer user and do not know what that means. I then discovered they had a death in the family as did my family at the same time. Out of respect for their loss I did nothing and inadvertantly let my my claim time run out with Pay Pal and Ebay.
I asked to be allowed to send the laptop back. The response I received from them was, I left a positive feedback and they would not take the unit back. They did send me a Win DvD installation disc and nothing else to remedy my problems. I would have been satisfied if they had offered to load the missing controllers.
I know have a laptop that cannot access the internet or play videos and their attitude is that I am out of luck as I left a positive feedback.
I understand an honest mistake or error. Ones character is displayed by how one remedies that mistake or error.
