I know you've all seen it!  The perfect "mystery auction"!  The seller offers "tons and tons of items" for you to bid on.  Keep in mind....if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  You can spend up to $30/$40/$50/$100 for "tons" of name brand items, and get a few little items that have worn out crusty labels, damaged products, or just nasty items.  But since it is a "mystery" auction, the seller gets away with it!

Check the sellers feedback ENTIRELY before bidding on these auctions.  Don't just take the "starred number" as a good sense of this person.  Open up their feedback, and read about their transactions!  You'd be surprised to find that people with 95% or higher feedback have TONS of negatives, but has averaged higher because of the amount of transactions they have done.

And if you are dissatisfied AFTER one of these, or ANY auction, file a report.  Don't leave them feedback until you have followed the procedures.  There are TONS of hateful, dishonest, and RUDE sellers/buyers out there just WAITING to say hateful lies.  Why? you may ask??  Because they are HOPING to hurt people, and make an extra buck.  Unless they cross Ebay policies concerning feedback, they can say whatever they want.  Hateful, lies, etc.  Doesn't matter to Ebay unless they give out personnal information on you.  And Ebay will not REMOVE these lies unless you have a court order.

There are WONDERFUL and HONEST sellers and buyers on Ebay.  But we, as participants in this game, have to do our research FULLY before we get stung.  There are a lot more dishonest and HATEFUL people out there than we will ever know about.  I thought myself a "seasoned" Ebayer, and it happened to me.  Don't let it happen to you.  Always remember you are dealing with someone YOU DON'T KNOW.  Research them to the best of your ability.  And always keep in mind the RULES that Ebay has set.  Follow those rules, and hopefully you won't get burned.
