Beware of those Hidden Ebay Fees in your Seller's Account Monthly Invoice
Today I found hidden Ebay Fee's and wanted to share. I recently downgraded from a Featured Store with lots of bells and whistles to Ebay's Basic Store. Without my knowledge or consent they continued the Selling Manager's Pro which I did not ask to continue. For the last few months I've been paying in excess of $15.00 for the service not being aware of it and honestly not using it.
To remedy my dilema, I've now submitted to ebay a refund request for at least the current month of September which appeared on August's statement. Explaining its rather bogus, I hope they provide a written explaination as to why they charged me for something I did not request or stay signed up to. Additionally, I asked for them to credit my account. I received a reply to my submittion within minutes stating it would be responded to within 48 hours. I will update this guide when this issues is resolved.
Upon reviewing past invoices, they have been very good at refunding money for one thing or another even without my realizing I was due credit. Although I don't expect any problems, this suprised me and I wanted to post the warning for all you sellers and store owners to double check your invoices and question those oddities you find.
UPDATE: 9/9/2006 After a few rounds with Ebay they finally agreed to credit September's fee back. I haven't received it yet and am rather disappointed that I had to fight and explain it would be in the best intrest of customer service to credit that money back. They had me for the fees since May and I asked them to show me rather than tell me they found they were not at fault. They could not hence that is why they are crediting me. So althought I received the result I wanted, I was not impressed with how they handeld it and wanted to provide this update as promised.
Hope this helps and appreciate your feedback! Thanks! Pamela
