Hello everyone, today we have a guide telling you why you should avoid the 4-cylinder 1994-2002 Mazda 626's and 1994-1997 MX-6's.
If you are seriously considering bidding on one of these cars,DON'T!!! Why?,The automatic transmission is awful and extremely repair prone. If you must have one of these cars PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE GET A V6 OR A 4-CYLINDER WITH A STICK SHIFT!!!
Now you are probably asking "why is the tranny so bad?" Here is the reasons, for one the transmission was made by Ford (the found on road dead,or fix or repair daily company),because of a joint venture. They stuck a transmission that was too small and meant for a smaller,lighter car in it so in the end it overheats and craps out on you.
Mazda knows about the problem but will not do anything about it because supposedly they say it was Ford's fault because they designed the tranny so they want Ford to deal with it.
If you don't believe me google Mazda CD4E Transmission or Mazda LA4A-EL Transmission and see for yourselves why you shouldn't buy one of these money pits.
Sure they are beautiful cars that in my opinion look better than any generic looking Camry or Accord, I am not trying to steer you away from the V6 or Stick Shift ones but staying away from the 4-cyl and Automatic combo ones is a must!!!
The V6 and Stick shift cars are very awesome and really reliable and really worth your bids,this is because the transmissions were designed by Mazda in JAPAN and not by Ford in Detroit.
