I was interested in purchasing a Procharger supercharger for my Mustang, and ran across an auction by Eromrims.  First off, I contacted him with a question and he replied back to me (with 2 and 1/2 days left on the auction, which was already up to $1700) and told me that he could close the auction early if I were to send him $1800.  I said yes, and he emailed me back the next day saying that he wanted $2200.  I told him that he offered $1800, to which he stuck to.  He then told me that he had closed the auction early through Ebay, and that the supercharger was at a shipping place called TNT, because he was currently in England and had to do the shipping internationally.  He asked me to wire the money to him VIA Western Union, and TNT will ship the item out (using TNT as an esgrow).  Sure enough, I recieved an Email from a place that looked like TNT, however the address was not from TNT but from TNT(at)Financial-Aid(Dot)com.  That threw a huge red flag.  When I looked at TNT's website I discovered that TNT does not do Esgrow shipping.  This is a HUGE scam overseas!!!  I emailed Ebay, and the high bidder (which won the item for well over $2500 since the auction did NOT close early) and the high bidder said that he did indeed contact them asking for the cost of the auction.  I emailed Eromrims and asked for a name and telephone number.  He refused to give me a telephone number, and said that Eromrims WAS his name! (His mother must have hated him, I suppose.)  I then emailed him telling him that the high bidder and I have communicated and that she was solicited to buy the supercharger as well.  He thn told me that there were TWO Prochargers with 19,000 miles that he had for sale!  To sum it all up, I did not send him the money, but when I called Western Union to confirm my thoughts they told me that this was a popular scam.  Nonetheless, I have contacted my local authorities, who cannot do much since I did not actually lose any money, and the Tennessee Beareau of Investigations (TBI) for international fraud (who IS going to investigate).  Buyers, please beware, not only of this seller but of this type of scam!
