Watch Out For FAKE Ray Ban Wayfarer and Blues Brothers Sunglasses

Some eBay sellers, sell what they call "Wayfarer" or "Blues Brothers sunglasses, which would lead one to believe these are the classic Ray Ban models.  They even show a picture of the Blues Brothers wearing Ray Ban Wayfarer glasses in their ad.  The glasses they are actually selling are not Ray Bans, they are knock-offs manufactured in China.  This is not to say the glasses they are sellling are a rip off.  In fact, they are pretty good glassss for the money and most people would never know they're not the real thing.  Nevertheless, their listings are deceptive and you will be disappointed if you think you are bidding on a pair of Ray Bans. 

 Wayfarer is not a style of sunglass, it is the Ray Ban  model name. eBay has policy's in effect that prevent using the name of a product that was not actually made by the manufacturer, but they will not enforce the policy. This is also Key Word Spamming. 

Blues brother sunglasses were never produced by the rights owner Warner Brothers nor were they ever licensed for manufacture to Ray Ban. The Blues Brothers did wear Ray Ban Wayfarers in the movie, but there is no product called "Blues Brothers sunglasses" manufactured by Ray Ban or any other manufacturer.

Most Popular Shades: Ray-Ban sunglasses sold 10 million units worldwide in 1998. The best-known model, the Wayfarer, has been available since 1953 and is reported to be the best-selling style in history. It was made famous by many celebrities including the fictional Blues Brothers.

During the Blues Brothers Movie, Jake wore Ray-Ban 5022C15 Sunglasses (a.k.a. Wayfarer), with brown frames and black lenses. Genuine '5022' Ray-ban sunglasses have the '5022' written on the frames. Elwood wore Ray-Ban Wayfarer II Sunglasses, with black frames and black lenses. This is the real deal and run $50 - $80 on ebay, Look for these markings if  you want TRUE  Ray Ban Wayfarers.

retro new novelty cheap blues sunglasses are the cheap non branded model and are about $10 for two pair. Just make sure you are buying the product you want and are not being deceived by eBay and the seller.
