The BLACK Jabra JX-10: Genuine vs. Counterfeit

I'm writing this guide because I've been receiving many emails asking my opinion on the BLACK Jabra JX-10 that is becoming popular on eBay.  The Black headset has been sold on eBay for a WHILE, but has only JUST RECENTLY been released for sale Retail.  I had begun to address the issue on my other JX-10 guide:

Beware: Jabra JX-10 JX10 Genuine retail vs. Counterfeit

But I wanted to address the issue specifically about the Black headset some more and provide some pictures to clarify what I have found between the two.

I have been told that the black headset is now available in Canada - not sure on big US retailers yet.  I still do not see it on the Jabra website yet.  Although I do see that it is for sale on Treonaut* online for $99.95 - not a bad price at all.

You will easily see a big difference b/w this that has just been released and those that have been selling for a while on eBay.

The Genuine:

***This looks MUCH DIFFERENT than almost all the black JX-10's that I have been seeing on eBay.  These ones on eBay have a silver base instead of a BLACK base.  You'll see below: Even on the eBay pics - most of the black headsets look very fishy - LED cover looks clear, etc.  These photos are not the clearest, but you can tell a big difference b/w them and many listed on eBay now.  Here are some of the eBay photos:

*** Notice the difference in the LED cover, the silver base, and the white strip down the center instead of the black and white strip.

The Junk:

OVERALL, I would be very hesitant of buying a black headset off eBay now.  Many of the counterfeit black headsets are disappearing from the eBay market with the new release of the Genuine Black JX-10, BUT I have seen some sellers using the stock Genuine pics and still selling the Counterfeits.  SO be very careful.  It seems as though much of the same criteria apply for the Black headsets and do the Silver, as I pointed out in my other guide.

I will add more as I find out more, but I hope that this has been helpful so far.  Thanks

Good Luck and God bless.
