Best day to start and end an auction and why

I have done some long and well thought out research on this very  question and these are just my findings, some have explanations some I just can;t explain.

First of all IT depends on what you are selling.

In my experience this is what I have found out .

# 1 Clothing , clothing sells best on a 5 day listing ending on Tuesday evenings between 9 pm and 10 pm EST don't ask me why  they just do 

#2 Videos really sell best on a buy it  now ticket BUT if you are going to do an auction a 3 day auction will work best because people easily lose interest in movies  so 3 days max is my suggestion

#3 Books like Videos sell best on a buy it now and if not the same applies  3 days max ending in the evening after dinner.

#4  HOT HOT items  and antiques seem to be the only thing i find that sell well on 7 day listing, mostly because people don't lose interest in the Item

#5 Mystery auction I found sell best on a 5 day listing ending on a weekend evening mostly Sunday nights  5 days keeps their attention just long enough , 7 days i tried and they seem to  lose interest after the 6Th day.

#6 Collectors Items such as Disney plates and such will do well at any length , but to get your max money 7 days will work best ending on Sunday evening . people who collect Will stick with an Item till then end.

This is all the things that I have researched on, some I can explain some I can't, most will make sense if you think it out.
 Ultimately  you just never know.
Also please note end of the month is always a slow time , ending auctions  at the end of the month when all peoples bills are coming due is never a good idea.
