Hello!  My "Best Guide for Mom's on Buying & Selling Gymboree" is simply my experience, sprinkled with some advice from one mom to another, in regard to my favorite children's clothing brand, Gymboree ~ I hope you find it helpful!

Gymboree introduces new "Lines" approximately every 3-4 weeks or so... Their clothing is designed to make your life easier, by allowing your child to be dressed in bright and beautiful outfits, with mix-and-match pieces plus lot's of accessories for ton's of versatility!  Often, Lines that are introduced near each other, will have pieces that intermix with each other ~ this is a great money-saving perk!  Some of my most favorite Collections are ~ Strawberry Fields, Summer Fun, Sweet as Sugar, Sweet Cupcake, Oodles of Poodles, My Best Friend, Aloha Wahine, Palm Springs, Sugar and Spice & currently, Love is in the Air!  I think what is best about Gymboree, is that your children will LOVE how they look in any of the Gymboree Collections as much as you will!

Gymboree clothing is also very easy care!  Most of their items are 100% Cotton or a Cotton/Poly blend, and they wash up great if you Machine Wash Cold  and Tumble Dry on Low!  I know a lot of mom's will wash in cold & hang dry all of their Gymboree, just to make sure the colors stay as vibrant as possible!  Occasionally Gymboree will have some items that are Dry-Clean only, but usually these are only a few pieces from their Holiday Collections, like a beautiful Easter or Christmas Dress made with silk or taffeta!  Be sure to check the clothing tags prior to any cleaning!

Gymboree items tend to run true to size and I've found shrinkage to be minimal... they recently came out with an "Adjustable Waist" feature on many of their pants, skirts, skorts & shorts - this allows you to easily & invisibly "take in" or "let out" the waist for your child's comfort & best fit!  They have also recently introduced "Slim" & "Plus/Husky" sizing; however, most of these items are available online only... Gymboree's retail tags also almost always include their recommended Height & Weight for each size & Gymboree.com has a Sizing Chart which is very helpful...  Personally, I find myself buying a size larger than my daughter's age in order to best fit her (she is long & lean) & I suggest buying 2 sizes up in Pajamas & Swimsuits, as these fit snug & most kids like a little wiggle room!

Gymboree clothing is high quality ~ their items just wear, wear & wear well!  Additionally, between their cuteness & quality, they RESELL sometimes for as much or more, than the original Retail cost!  I easily dress my daughter each year pretty much for FREE, by intentionally buying her clothing off eBay or at the end of the season in the store, & re-selling it the next year!  Usually I buy a mix of items that are NWT (New with Tags) & EUC (Excellent Used Condition) from established Sellers whose care of pre-loved pieces is one I know I can trust!  Always, always, always read the description/fine print for specifics regarding the condition of the items you want to bid on or BIN when shopping on eBay!  If the Seller hasn't been specific enough or you want something clarified, do not hesitate to send the Seller a message through the "Ask Seller a Question" link posted in every listing!  The majority of Sellers are more than happy to answer you honestly right up front, rather than risk negative feedback if you receive an item in a condition less than expected!  There are many, many Sellers of Gymboree on eBay & you can almost always find exactly what you are looking for in the size you need!

Speaking of buying and selling Gymboree on eBay ~ eBay is an awesome venue for acquiring Gymboree items at much, much less than retail (whether NWT or EUC) &/or for selling it at a nice profit... if you are interested in selling Gymboree on eBay, be sure to sign up at Gymboree.com to be on their mailing list & watch their sales ~ often they mark Collections down 20-60% off retail as the new Collections after them are coming out, & they will send out extra percentage off coupons in the mail or by e-mail!  Plus, several times a year they offer you the opportunity to earn & redeem their infamous "Gymbucks" which are coupons you can earn & redeem in $25.00 increments for every $50.00 (pretax) that you spend in their store or online during their promotions.  They also offer a Gymboree Visa Card with special incentives to card holders!

A kind word of warning ~ please be careful about buying Gymboree "lots" on eBay with the sole intention of reselling the items within the lot... most of the Sellers offering these lots have purchased their items just the same way as previously mentioned ~ by taking advantage of all of the sales Gymboree offers!  Although you may save a little time by purchasing or winning one of their lots, you'll pay more than necessary & make less money in the end!  However, if you plan to have your little one's wear the items in the lot first, then this can be a great way to go!  Gymboree's retail store & online sales are truly the best ways to get the most bang for your resale dollar if you shop wisely!  *By the way, Gymboree is not wild about their items being resold, new or used, on eBay or in any other venue, so a little discretion is advised especially when you are purchasing in bulk in their stores and/or online ~ they reserve the right to limit how many of each piece you may buy & their return policy has been tightened up!

*Hmm, want to be let in on a little Secret?  There is NO way to buy Gymboree at "wholesale" ~ they simply do not offer their merchandise in this manner (no matter what any other Seller or e-book tells you, regardless of whether you have a business license or not!) ~ drove me nuts trying to figure this out on my own when I first started selling!  Their clothing is made exclusively for their online site & retail stores only & they are very protective of it!  Also, please don't be fooled by the "poly bag" comments you'll see in listings ~ this just means the item was purchased from Gymboree online rather than in one of their retail stores!  Your items will come exactly the same way if you should choose to order from them online too!  ;o)

Please visit my store Daisies n'Dimples Gymboree & More for lot's of adorable children's clothing, including My Gymboree & Boutique Listings! ~ I am constantly adding new Gymboree & Boutique Children's clothing at much LESS THAN RETAIL, so be sure to stop in often!
