Hello all!
I've been on a quest to find the best eye shadow. I've used drug store brands and also upscale boutique brands.
Although some high-end cosmetics, they say, are way overpriced for what you get, in some cases it's worh paying more.I'd say that's true for my #1 eyeshadow pick:
- Chanel eye shadow.
You can buy on eBay or in dept. stores such as Macy's. This eye shadow is very rich and glids on very smoothly. The powder is also very fine so you only need to apply with a light touch. The colors are deep and often subtly sparkly. They also make a liquid eye shadow which applies with a sponge that is a great eye shadow base.
- Artistry eye shadow
This brand used to be made by the co. formerly known as Amway, now Quixstar. Their rose beige is a great blending color.
- Clinique
I have some Clinique I've been given as a gift which I use sometimes. I don't lik it as much as Chanel, but it comes in nice colors and sometimes when you buy their stuff you can get a "free gift" of other cosmetics or bags with it.
- Almay
Almay is, imo, a good drugstore brand. If you're going to buy a brand in the drugstore, I like this co.'s products because they are hypoallergenic. I can usually find them in a nice array of earth tones, like a pack of four.
- Sonia Kashuk
These eye shadows can be bought in nice white containers of a palette of earthy or rose tones, and sometimes with some base makeup along with it in the pack, which is very handy. Available at Target. I also like her makeup brushes.
Hope that helps!
