Best Deals at the Worst Times

As other guides have mentioned, you can get better buys on items that sellers have listed at oddball times, which generally means that they close at oddball times, since they expire at 24 hour intervals, depending upon the 1,3,5,7 or 10 day duration that ebay allows.

What I would like to add to what others have said, is that since eBay is a round the world, and around the clock business, you cannot take the perspective of thinking about the USA as your market.  I have sold things at oddball times to people across the globe that maybe wouldn't have bid on it otherwise.  Some people just watch "ending Items" listings, and only bid if they think they can win it at the last minute, like 'sniping'.  Anyways, many people are also busy on the weekends and don't get on eBay until after 8-9pm, and miss bidding because they didn't get home in the so-called 'prime time' hours for ebay.  Obviously, 3am in the morning for closing an item is not too good generally, if the item is somthing inexpensive and large, because that type of item would not be cost effective to ship to another country cheaply enough to appeal to that market, unless its a rare item that is not available there. So bottom line is that you much know your stuff, when figuring out sale times if you care to get down to that level of expertise.  It's generally clear that the same items sell for a wide range of prices every day on eBay so, it pays to research previous sales in order to see what times are working best for them and you. Thanks for reading, and best of luck to you on eBay selling and buying!
