Being a more passionate ebayer

To truely succeed on ebay, or in any area in life, you've got to be passionate about what you do. One of the most motivational books I've read is a book by Donald Trump titled: "Think big and kick a-- in business and in life" Many times, Trump says you gotta love what you do or you won't succeed.

Those of us who sell on ebay can apply that to what we're doing. The best way to make ebay fun, is to sell a line of merchandise that you love, and have some knowledge about. This way it will feel more like a hobbies, and less like work. A person who loves playing golf, might do well selling golf equipment on ebay. This way he/she will know the products well, as opposed to someone who doesn't know much about the game. If you're into fashion, and you keep up with today's fashions, and you know it well, then consider selling clothing, shoes, or jewelry in your ebay store. When buyers ask you questions, you will be better able to answer them, because you know your products.

If you love video games, open an ebay store to sell them. Your knowledge about the items may make you a better seller, and you will also be more passionate and enthusiastic about what you are doing for a living. Being in the business of something you love, will make your job much more fun, and it won't even seem like work at all.

A big sports fan may be running a sports shop where they are selling sports cards, team jerseys, sporting goods, and other sports collectables. By being a big sports fan, it will definately help him/her to run a great business.

If you read alot of books, open a book store. In your ad's, you can include reviews for books you have read.

In my ebay store, I sell nostalgic tin signs, license plates, posters, as well as other items that take you back to the past. I love anything that is classic or nostalgic. My items include signs with old classic advertisements from decades ago. I love to look at those signs because it takes you back to when times were simple. (Not that I actually lived back then). Back when a movie was only 50 cents, and a soda was only a nickel. Many of my signs include celebrities from the fifties such as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe, and sitcoms such as "I love Lucy" and "the 3 stooges". I also have many great hunting and fishing ad's.

I also have signs with classic cars featured on them. I have signs featuring Ford, Chevy, Dodge, muscle cars, nascar, old gas and oil ad's, and more. I love classic cars and trucks. I go to alot of car shows, and monster truck events, and I'm very passionate about my hobbie. So naturally, I love selling car signs in my store. In my house, I have a wall that is covered with classic truck signs and monster truck posters. I also have quite a few model cars in my house as well. My passion for this hobbie has allowed me to make my ebay business much more fun for me.

So by dealing with products that you actually like, it makes your ebay experience much more satisfying. Think about what you love in life. Maybe you love sports, cooking, reading books, playing video games, or you love collectables. Consider your passions in life, then set up your ebay store accordingly. It will be much rewarding this way, as well as fun and satisfying.

Thanks for reading, and have fun buying and selling.
