Being a Philosophy Girl.. Why I Love The Products So

New to Philosophy? Come on in and let me share my addiction! I have tried most of it and just about love it all. There is a reason, it is great stuff!

First, let me say I am not one to follow hoopla, fads or need to try the new thing. I rarely end up liking things the same ways others do. I wear no makeup on a daily basis and walk around in Crocs, jeans and a tye dye t-shirt 99.999% of the time....however....I have always been a skin care junky; trying anti aging products since I was 15 but never truly being impressed by any one product.

Philosophy products are a different story.

Please visit Philosophy dot com and head to their 'about us' page to learn more about the company history. Keep reading for personal accounts.

I heard about Philosophy a long time before I ever tried any of the line. I can't remember what first got me started...but I went to the Philosophy site, saw the prices and went, 'Oh no, that isn't going to happen.' Then I went to ebay!

I started out buying samples. I used the 50¢ to $1 per sample rule and quickly gathered enough samples to last me for years. I was so excited to be trying this stuff. It didn't last me long since I was sharing it with all the women around me.

My very first testing was Amazing Grace 3 in 1 shampoo, bubble bath & body wash. When I opened the package, the scent didn't seem to hit me...it was ok. But then after my shower, I kept getting this amazing wift of a totally clean and feminine scent..and it was me! I could not believe this product was EXACTLY as the company claimed it to be. I found I craved the aroma.

I quickly found an awesome deal on ebay for a 6 piece gift set and begged my kids to buy it for my birthday..they all chipped in $10 and I was as giddy as a school girl. Since the birth of my first child, I cannot wear perfumes or heavy scents. But I can wear ANYTHING in the Philosophy line and it never overpowers me.

My next experience was the Cinnamon 3 in 1 and I was just in shock. I wanted to eat the bottle. I LOVED taking a shower every morning. I LOVED how easy it was to use one product instead of shampoo, body wash, etc and I LOVED how it did not dry out my hair and skin.

... then I tried the Candy Cane 3 in 1. The peppermint was so invigorating, a little went such a long way and I could feel the mint tingle on my skin. Then the eggnog, hot cocoa, margarita, and the list goes on and on. My 13 year old daughter, a close friend, other women in my family....all became addicted.  I think we have about 40 bottles in the house right now.

I then gave my 2 boys, 9 and 10, a bath and let them try one. At first they protested, until the began to sniff the air. I truly had 9 and 10 year old boys begging for baths and singing the praises of a body wash while in the tub. They loved looking through the arsenal of products in the cabinet and planning their next bath.

Then I watched the Philosophy hours on QVC and signed up for the Makeup Optional Auto Delivery. Now, I have always had good skin, but it is also sensitive skin that can be touchy. I find most moisturizers sting or are too heavy. I can't use scrubs and such as well. But I was able to use every product in that box without issue. I love the Microdelivery peels, peel pads, moisturizer, serums, you name it. They smell clean, are not too heavy and do give a wonderfully healthy glow..just look:

My better half will actually say quite often that I am glowing..and no, I am not pregnant...in love, yes, but not pregnant.:)

I then tried the Supernatural Poreless Tinted SPF and was so happy to find a non makeup item that did wonders.

That led into trying the Falling in Love line and ! cried. Yes, you read that right...no joke, the vanilla blackberry notes of the fragrance struck some kind of cord in me and it is now what I wear most of the time. I use the emulsion on a daily basis and I cannot get enough. I know it sounds crazy. If anyone said these things to me about a product I would think they were nuts.

Right now my cannot live withouts include:

Falling in Love line, Amazing Grace line, Handmade handcream -this lemon scented rich hand cream is always with me, I call it my *crack*. Cinnamon Buns 3 in 1 and souffle, 5 different lip shines in milk man, ice cream man, sugar cookie, lemon custard and gingerbread man.  Candy Cane 3 in 1, Egg Nog 3 in 1, Coconut 3 in 1. Microdelivery Peel crystals & gel, Micro Peel Pads, When Hope Is Not Enough facial serum and moisturizer, Supernatural and Shear Splendor tub of conditioner.

The only product I have found to not impress me was the Shear Splendor shampoo...and I am not sure why. Otherwise; every Philosophy product has lived up to its claims.
