Buying or considering buying coin lots on ebay?

Make sure the seller states you are recieving the coins seen in the picture.

When buying coin lots on ebay your best tool for understanding what you're getting is the pictures.

Some sellers will use a stock photo which is ok in some situations but I like to see what I'm getting.

Most sellers on ebay are great, honest people and are a credit to ebay but that does'nt mean we have no need to be cautious and well informed.

The more merchants selling in the town square the greater the chance for mishaps or misunderstansings.

Don't be affraid to ask questions!

Knowledge is power!

Do yourself a favor and spend some cash on an official red book of united states coins by R.S Yoeman.

You can find it on ebay!

Why go anywhere else?

It's not absolute due to fluxuation of the numismatic market but at least you'll have a practical idea of what to pay for those treasures.. Or possibly not! But you'll know the difference cuz you did your home work. :O)

Also you can find many publications online.

Just pop in the date and type of coin into a searh engine and you'll be amazed at what you find out about that type of coin.

Coin collecting is supposed to be fun a enjoyable!

Don't let anyone steal your fun and joy of coin collecting for lack of information.

It does'nt matter if you collect for yourself or to pass them on to others, You want to be a wise buyer and come out ahead later... Right?

Look at what you buy and do your reasearch it's as simple as that.
