Beehive Serial Terminals

Beehive Medical Electronics was a manufacturer of serial data terminals in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Beehive manufactured several different models of serial terminals.  Known models are the B-100, the MiniBee and the SuperBee.  Beehive also sold terminals to original equipment manufacturers to be rebranded.  Cromemco rebranded Beehive terminals in this manner.  Beehive terminals could exhibit interesting failure modes and had some interesting aspects in their control codes.  With the relative low reliability of Beehive terminals, not many survive in a functioning state and they are considered somewhat rare.

  • Beehive B-100, 1970s rebranded as Altair

  • Beehive MiniBee
