MAINTAIN A READING FILE and plan time to read, regularly TO STAY ABREAST OF YOUR HOME-BUSINESS.
-
If you are not going to read regularly, do not start a file. Do not get "caught up" (as I did) with holding onto information "just in case" it is needed; when it’s needed, simply obtain the information, and it will be current. One day, after months had passed, I simply discarded the whole file!
-
Keep COMPUTER FILES organized. Use File FOLDERS & FAVORITES -- and REMEMBER TO regularly BACKUP your data.
SUPPLIES:
- PUT ITEMS BACK TO THEIR "HOME" when done with the items.
- Keep a DICTIONAY AND WRITING MANUAL in the office.
- KEEP MAILING SUPPLIES ON HAND (stamps and pre-printed or pre-stamped envelopes with your business return address).
- KEEP NECESSARY OFFICE AND BUSINESS SUPPLIES on hand, but do not overstock.
