Obviously this is not my main ID, but I have been on eBay for quite a long time as both a buyer and seller.  However, I am becoming more and more appalled by Seller shipping fees.  Buyers it is up to you to take a stand!  Until you quit buying items with horribly high shipping costs, this practice is not going to change!

Let me start by saying: I APPLAUD ALL THE FAIR AND HONEST SELLERS!  We are the backbone of eBay!

First, let's review the values:

• We believe people are basically good.
• We believe everyone has something to contribute.
• We believe that an honest, open environment can bring out the best in people.
• We recognize and respect everyone as a unique individual.
• We encourage you to treat others the way you want to be treated.

I truly believe in these values.  However, it is also true that "an honest, open environment" can bring out the greed in people!  I completely understand ALL the Seller fees associated with ebay and paypal for each transaction; and the need to recoup these fees and shipping material costs... but there has to be a line drawn somewhere.

Buyers: When selecting an item you wish to bid on, it is important to not only check out the Sellers feedback rating, but also the shipping costs!  This will save you from a lot of shock, and bad feelings, when your item actually arrives, and for example, the package shows a shipping sticker of $2.49... and you know you paid $8.00 shipping to the seller!!   

If you need further proof of this practice, type in the name of any movie or cd, you might want to buy, and look at the vast differences in the shipping costs~ all for the exact same item!  Be advised that any price over $3.00 for a single DVD, VHS, or CD, (and that price is including some "handling fees"!) is simply WAY TOO MUCH!!  This is also going on with books, and many other categories.

Why continue to agree to pay $3.95 and up for Media Mail Rates, when that's almost the same price for Priority Mail~ and you'd get your package a week sooner!  $4.95, $5.95, and more... the prices are simply too high!

Buyers it is up to you.  Until you refuse to pay this much for shipping, the prices are only going to continue to go up.

Together we can keep eBay honest, and a fair and reasonable place to shop!!
