Beautiful Very Fine Bath Salts & Oily Scrubs - Ahhhhhhh

Rose Bath Salt

What you need:
A box of regular table salt
Carrier Oil or Carrier Oil Substitute
Rose Essential Oil
Dry Rose Petals
A 1-gallon Ziploc bag
Fine Rose Petal Bath Salt

Pour the entire box of salt in the bag
Add 1- Tablespoon of Carrier Oil (See my carrier oil guide for more information)
1/8 Teaspoon or less of Rose Essential Oil
2 heaping Tablespoons of dry rose petals (don't use dark red petals because they tend to bleed into the surrounding salt. For best results break the dry, pale colored petals into smaller pieces. No large petal pieces)
Push most of the air out of the bag, zip and make sure it is securely closed. (Removing the most of the air will make it easier to mix. But you will need a little air so the salt mixture will move freely.)
Carefully mix by rolling the salt mixture around in the bag. Take care to keep the bag fully closes. Mixing will take a few minutes. You don't want any clumps.

Make sure everything is fully mixed together.
This is very pretty in a thick glass jar with a cork closure. Tie a chiffon ribbon at the neck. Add a scoop or shell to measure. Use 1/4 a cup per bath.

Raw Sugar Body Polish

All you need:
2 cups of Kosher Salt
2 cups of Raw Sugar
1/4 +or - Cold Press Almond Oil ( Or your favorite light texture carrier oil - Olive Oil is too heavy - Try a health food store for Cold Press Almond Oil, Or a Greek Deli or Market for Grape Seed Oil)
1/8 Teaspoon of Peppermint or Grapefruit Essential Oil

Mix well by hand in a large bowl. You are going to want to have the consistency of wet sand on the beach. Not drippy and not so dry it sifts through your fingers. Be careful not to add too much Almond Oil. Once all the ingredients are well mixed if the consistency is too dry, add more oil a teaspoon at a time. Getting to the perfect texture happens quickly and you don't want it to sift between your fingers.

Ready to try it? Ok, get a plastic cup and measure out 1/2 cup of the body polish mixture. The best place to use it is in the shower. Place a small towel or mat on the floor. Your feet will become slippery and you may fall if you aren't careful. Now get the water warm, shower as usual and turn the water off. Standing in the shower still wet, scoop a portion of the sugar polish out of the cup with your hand. Beginning at your neck and shoulders, massage the polish gently on your skin. Don't rub hard. Be very gentle. As needed, scoop more body polish and continue gently polishing your arms, elbows, and hands. Then continue down until you have polished your entire body, taking special care with knees, feet and ankles where the skin gets especially dry. Take your time. Very gently, continue until you are done. Turn on the water and rinse off. Don't use soap, just rinse until all the polish is gone. You will feel oily, but don't worry. Step out of the shower and pat dry. Your skin will be moist and glowing. The polish will bring healthy circulation to the skin surface as it helps remove dead skin cells that mask the natural beauty of your skin. Body polish, when properly used will give your skin a young, fresh, healthy glow and a soft moisturized feel. Use as often as you like.

Enjoy the Ahhhhs.
