Confused by the names and different types of beads?
Here's a Basic Guide.
Micro Beads: Extremely tiny glass beads. They're applied with double-sided tape or glued to surfaces such as ornaments to give a textured effect.
Seed Beads: Small, almost round beads, usually smaller than 15mm and used for jewelry making or as trim on clothing.
Bugle Beads: Long, cylindrical beads which come in a variety of different lengths. Used for jewelry making.
Pony Beads: Medium-size plastic beads of various shapes (rounded, hearts, stars, etc.) with large openings. Popular with children's crafts.
Wooden Beads: Available in a variety of shapes and colors, including natural and brown finishes. Popular with hemp jewelry.
Clay Beads: Easy to make in any size, shape or color with oven-bake polymer clay.
