Ebay was giving FREE Gallery photos on select listings (not sure which listings) and I saw that ebay's system was automatically adding this when I listed an item and even sometimes when I revised an older listing. You can uncheck the box but if you're like me, you're not expecting the fee and you didn't ADD it yourself, you tend not to see it if you are listing a lot of items ot using a service like TurboLister.

So I thought nothing of it.... and then yesterday I went to end a bunch of store listings to send to fixed price and I clicked submit right as I saw $1.15 and $1.30 next to single listings. Yes, ebay charged me for the gallery pictures that were added automatically to my listings... $1 each (what a WASTE for items that are $4- $10)!! I didn't want them and I didn't check the box but ebay's system!

I have never added that feature to my listings because from my experience it is a waste of money and I personally think ALL listings, for the price we pay in fees (@ 20% on average to sell a $20 item) should automatically have an ENLARGE option that we aren't CHARGED for.... I mean doesn't that help ebay too when our items SELL??? I have been editing as many listings as I can to get this FORCED feature off of my listings. That is another thing you will HAVE TO watch out for... these FREE promos ebay launched last year and the beginning fo this year... almost all of ebay's promos EXPIRE and if you have not changed your listings back after the promo has ended you WILL be charged.... the FREE SUBTITLES are a prime example of that. for MONTHS, almost ALL last year, ebay had a promo that if you offered free shipping you got a free subtitle and discounted FVF but it expired last month so if you, like me, took advantage of that promo, you will be charged for any listing that renews or is relisted, depending on how you have it listed, if it has a subtitle on it and you won't get any discount on FVF's by offering free shipping anymore either...

I've recently noticed that Ebay has added a "feature" to the listing so that they can make even MORE $$$:o) When I list an item I get into a mode and I just click submit especially when I'm listing duplicates and using the "sell similar" option. I was noticing that the "Gallery picture" was AUTOMATICALLY coming up even though I didn't choose a Gallery Picture option. I had submitted 9-10 before I realized it. Now .01 may not seem like a lot but I have 2000+ listings and that .01 adds an extra $20+ to my already, very high fees. I really feel that this a sneaky tactic to make them more money at the expense of a seller and it really stinks. Thought that I would share it with people and warn to be careful when listing that no boxes (that you didn't check) are checked.
