Ok , let's face it. Ebay is a great place for both buyers and sellers. However, there are plenty of people out there looking to rip you off one way or another. Try placing something for sale and before you know it you'll receive an outside offer from some faceless person in the Phillipines to buy threee of your item for five times the cost outside of Ebay.... come on? This doesn't really happen in real life. I think both buyers and sellers can benefit from a little advice: DONT BE GREEDY. As a buyer, we look for great deals.. sometimes we find them and sometimes theyare truly too good to be true. Don't fall prey to a deal that seems too far fetched... no one is takes the time to list items for sale unless there is a reasonable chance they are going to make some profit on it, right? For sellers, it's simple. You call the shots.. and that's that. Don't be motivated by greed and presured by a potential buyer to do things their way.. basically, set your own sales and delivery policy and stick to it. If you are reputable, it will work out. Remember, there are 100,000 new members each day who sign up on Ebay (some of them have to be legit, right?) And millions of current users that are floating around ready to buy something....
Now, with regard to wholesale lots, be especially careful because high quantity for sale and individually low prices with requests for payment like Western Union or Cashier's Check etc, can leave you empty handed... Especially when dealing with ANYONE from overseas. Remember to check the Ebay forums and keep an eye out for suspicious messages you receive and listing patterns that seem off kilter.
Good luck out there and happy selling/buying!
