By looking through the loop or magnifying glass ( min. 10x) , one can view various shapes formed in these gemstones. It can be an enjoyable experience viewing these features in your favourit gemstone piece using a loop.

1. Included crystal -> a mineral crystal trapped within larger gem.

2.Liguid inclusion-> A hollow or small pocket within a gem, filled with a liquid , and sometimes also a gas bubble and a solid crystal.

3. Fingerprints-> Inclusions in a pattern that resembles a human fingerprint

4. Cavity-> An opening or hole extending into the stone, usually angular in shape

5. Cloud -> Any hazyor milky area that can't be described as a feather, fingerprint, or group of included  crystals or needles.

6. Silk -> Oriented , fine , needle-like inclusions that can create phenomena like cat's -eyes and stars

7. Feather -> A break in a stone, often with a white, feathery appearance

8. Color-zoning -> Areas or bands of concentrated or alternating colors

9. Needles-> A long, thin inclusion

10.  Growth zoning-> Visible internal evidence of the crystal growth process. Might be straight, irregular, or angular

11. Liquid inclusions-> A hollow or small pocket within a gem, filled with a liguid, and sometimes also a gas bubbles and solid crystal

12. Included crystal- > a mineral crystal trapped within a larger gem can be light or dark, transparent or opaque ( this picture shows opaque)

* These are some features of inclusions in colored gemstone. However, different stone species have their usual features of inclusions. For instant, in ruby, 'silk' ( needle-like rutile or boehmite crystals) , rutile needles often arranged in three sets that intersect one another at 60 degree angle, fingerprints and color zoning are comom inclusions found. And also through inclusion, one can differentiate the synthetic from the genuine stones. Different synthetic stones have different synthetics inclusion. For instant  flame-fusion synthetic ruby has whispy and web-like inclusion while the synthetic emerald may have 'nail head' or phenakite crystals followed by a long air bubble. And unlike diamond, colored gemstones offer various kind of inclusions vary among different stone species.
