I am a Shoe collector that focuses mostly on Exclusive shoes from Jordans To Air Maxs To Bapes.
I am a member of both ISS and NT and if you are questioning a shoe and would like my help or the help of ISS/NT just send me a message. I will help you in anyway I can and will post on ISS to double check the authenticity of your item/item you are bidding on.

I would like to share what I know about shoes in general.

Here are the basic signs of a FAKE shoe.

1. IF THE SELLER STATES IT IS A FACTORY VARIANT OR CUSTOM  ETC...
thats a smart way of saying its fake. Nike did not make these.

2. Shape is a big way to tell fake shoes. If you look at fake shoes... alot of them have a sole that is to thick. For instance air force ones... alot of fake air force ones will have over a 1 inch high sole where real soles have just about an inch... if the shoe looks deformed.... then its either a defect or a fake. either way you dont want it.

3. DETAILS if you check my other guides it will show you a few examples of bad details.
ALWAYS compare pictures. alot of fake shoes have horrible detail jobs that are clearly fake. however fakes are getting more advanced but theres always somthing fake/cheap about it. toe placing doesnt feel right... your soles starting hurting because the air underneath is reaally thin. REALL BAD NOT STRAIGHT STITCHING is a big one... wrong colours is also pretty big.

4. If you havent seen the colourway or heard of the shoe before... reasearch it if you cant find it then its a custom which means FAKE.

5. If the price is too good to be true. then usually its to good to be true... HOWEVER this is not always.
always look at feedback, feedback comments, what other people say about this seller, and look how long the seller has been in business. Makesure the feedback is legit too... its not very hard to get feedback alot of sellers buy 1 dollar items and then get feedback for it.

6. usually if the seller is new and is selling 100 pairs of a rare shoe they are gonan be fake. IF THE SELLER HAS MULTIPLE RARE SHOES think about it... chances are they are fake.

7. ALWAYS MAKESURE THE PICTURES OF THE SHOE ARE THE PICTURES OF THE SHOES YOU ARE GETTING. watch out for people that steal stock photos from other sellers or websites.
get them to take pictures of the shoe with their Ebay ID tag beside it. IF they dont list the shoes as authentic ASK them if their shoes are 100% authentic. this atleast gives you a chance to bust them and get your money back if you pay via paypal if you recieve fake shoes.

8. WATCH OUT FOR PEOPLE THAT DONT ACCEPT PAYPAL.
that should be a sure sign of fish business... PAYPAL has the highest security and reassurance between sellers and buyers.

9. Watch out for foreign country sellers.... Japan being the exception however NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE FROM they can still be fake. Japan has arguably a even more hype shoe culture then North America. Alot of releases that cannot be found in North America can be found in Japan.

Hopfully this guide helps for all you new Sneaker Heads that are just starting to collect Exclusive shoes.

Things to note are always: Colour, Shape if you look at half the fake jordans they're always deformed in some way. REAL JORDANS will NEVER be deformed. and last look always at details. compare to pictures of authentic shoes provided on www.issforums.com or www.niketalk.com or even from nikes website especially if there new releases.
