Flat Stitch Peyote - with Flex wire

I wanted to share this hint with peyote beaders. Whether you are a beginner or if you are very advanced.

Depending on how big your peyote pattern is going to be adjust the Flex-wire accordingly.

Flex - Wire, you can get at any local beading store (basic wire for making jewelry, ie. bracelets).

1st Step:   I cut a 5 inch Flex -Wire.

2nd Step:  I strung on 60 seed beads onto my needle in the colors I needed for my project.

Take the Flex -Wire, skip the first seed bead  go through the second bead, skip the the third, go through the fourth bead. Skip every other bead.

Just remember when starting, make sure that you skip the first bead.  Once you have a few rows of seed beads you can remove the Flex - Wire. The Flex -Wire helps keep your pattern  flat when starting out. I have seen some people leave it in until their project is done.
