If you like this guide, please click the yes button below.  The purpose of this guide is to help you to keep your computer running fast and free of nasty viruses and spyware. What is spyware? It is a tiny program that tracks what you do online, where you have been, where you go on the internet. It is used to help marketers understand your buying patterns and web surfing behavior, among other things. For a new user, it is something bad. You probably have noticed your computer is running slowly. You click on something, and nothing happens, or it is slow, or your screen freezes up. The following instructions, if followed and used regularly will keep your computer running really well. Do not be afraid to use these tips, as you will not break your computer.

1. Down load a program called Adaware: This program, if you use it regularly, will remove all bad spyware. Make sure you update the definitions (a list of all bad things that the software looks for), each time you run the software, few times per month. It is free.
2. Down load a program called Spybot Search and Destroy: This program does essentially the same thing that Adaware does, but checks for different types of spyware in different places deep within your computer. Be sure to click update to get the latest definitions that the software uses. Run this a few times per month.
3. Stop using Internet Explorer: Most Spyware uses explorer because its the most common browser, and is easily hacked by these spyware companies. Instead:
4. Start Using Firefox: it is just like Internet Explorer, but is much more protective when you are online. You can download it by putting Firefox into google, and going to the Mozilla site.
5. Never click on ads, of any type. It is the fastest way to get spyware.
6. Do not use online gambling/game sites: loaded with spyware.
7. If you use Explorer, keep it clean: Go to tools, then select internet options, and on this page, click delete cookies, delete files,  and clear history. Make sure the little box that says days to keep history of web sites you have visited is set to Zero 0. You do not need to save web pages, they load automatically when you go online, and it doesn't save you any time by keeping them.  In the settings section next to "delete files", click settings. On the next page, make sure this setting is set to "check for new versions of web pages every time i visit a page", instead of "automatically.".
8. Clean out temporary files on your computer: These files are documents and things gathered while you surf or while you use your computer. Go to the lower left corner of your computer and click "Start". Then, click settings, and go down to taskbar. Then click the top of the "start menu" tab, and when it opens, click the box marked "customize". Click the box that says clear. It will clean up all old files that you do not need.

If you follow these instructions, your computer will run very fast, and will be free of Spyware. If you like this guide, please click the yes button below. thanks!
