When buying a card or cards on ebay, remember to look for some key elements:

1. Is the card in a holder? If not the card can easily be bent or scratched durring shipping, regardless of packaging, greatly lowering its value.

2. Is the box wrapped? If not, that almost certainly means the box has been opened and/or will open during shipping.

3.Is the card worth the bid? A good source to learn this information is Beckett's Baseball Card Value Book. It comes out monthly and is availble in a store like  CVS or Walgreens.

These tips should help you to have a more sucessful and comfortable buying experience.

Good Luck!

Greg
