I am shocked and disappointed to find allegations that EBay and PayPal allow their 4th largest seller(BargainLand) to cheat some of us. Unfortunately I Googled "Bargainland problems" only after my problem purchase and found these negative EBay reviews and lots more on the Internet. I am the victim of an 'Item not as described' scam by Bargainland. I have tried using the EBay/payPal Dispute Resolution Procedure and Square Deal to no avail.
My concerns are:
1. Bargainland seem to be flouting the EBay trading rules and neither EBay ,nor Paypal are stopping them
2. The Dispute Procedure has no 'teeth' .When BargainLand is clearly at fault there is no judgement passed by a neutral person (like EBay Security) and no restitution enforced.
3. Bad vendors like this create the word of mouth horror stories that scare off buyers and sellers alike. They undermine this wonderful EBay community for all of us.I would have thought that Ebay & PayPal cared about that. Apparently not.
I hope someone who cares at Ebay or PayPal will read this and fix the BargainLand problem. It would be wonderful to write a retraction to this post and say all is well (fair& honest)in the EBay community.
