I just want you all to know that I have tried EVERYTHING there is out there and spent SO much money trying to get my face to clear up!  I have adult acne.  I have a VERY oily face and I LOVE to pick at my face which of course is the worst sin in the world--and of course I always have something to pick at...and I've been looking for the miracle serum, brand, line, treatment for 10 years now and spent so many thousands of dollars.  I've had hormone tests and bloodwork done to see if there is something wrong with me, I've changed my diet, cut out caffeine, washed constantly, tried not washing at all, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, taken supplements, every make up line, no make up (yikes), gone to dermatologists and doctors and tried to pin point what the reason could possibly be and I have found NOTHING.  No reason.  I can take medically prescribed meds and it does nothing (or works a little until I become immune to it)...there has been no reason for the madness until now! 

I watched the infomercial on Bare Minerals and of course instantly wanted it just like I did with Proactive (for the 2nd time--figuring maybe my skin changed or maybe I did it wrong 5 years ago when I tried it and it didn't work) and everything else on TV or in a department store, and I researched and read posts and reviews online and did all my homework before buying the products. I purchased a starter kit online at Sephora and also the Rare Minerals nighttime treatment (very expensive! get them on Ebay if you can!) and got them about a week and a half ago and put on the Rare Minerals that first night, woke up with no new blemishes and yes, I believe my skin looked better and some of the old ones looked like they had cleared up some, but of course I thought hmmm...interesting.  So, I applied the makeup using this VERY handy guide I found a tutorial guide on livejournal dot com that was SO great,and it was VERY easy and it actually cut down my getting ready for work time because I had nothing new and fun to pick at...and then the true test...the critics at work. 

I work with a bunch of girls that notice EVERYTHING.  And sure enough, one comes in and studies my face and says "are you using a new foundation?"  "Yes..." holding breath for the critique. "I REALLY like it! Your skin looks very clear and the color is great on you" Gulp!  Then another girl notices and says something about how my makeup looks really good today, then someone else mentions that my face has really cleared up (buried under this great-covering makup is more like it but I don't say it of course!)...so I spilled my guts and told them all about it.  They know of my misery and my constant search for the magic cure.  So, I told them the next day I'd wear the other color (my kit came with two shades, medium and medium light).  They liked BOTH of them.  So, now it's been almost two weeks I think and I can honestly say I haven't had even ONE whitehead.  Not ONE.  I've had a few little regular dots that pop in the creases of my nose (dry little ones, not one juicy) but those might be old ones...not sure...but NOTHING new.  And everything is healing up on my face.  I don't know if it's the Bare Minerals or the Rare Minerals or the serum you put on before (rev-it up) or what it is exactly, but SOMETHING is working. 

Maybe I'm allergic to something in normal makeup? I have no idea, but right now I can tell you this stuff is fantastic and I want everyone to know about it.  This might be just MY miracle cure, but maybe it might be yours too?  I'm so happy I can't even tell you.  OH!  I forgot to tell you the greatest part--by the end of the day my face STILL looks good and fresh and NOT oily and not shiny (and I've never re-applied (too afraid to grease up a new brush or cause a breakout!)).  I don't know why or how, because I know I'm still producing the oils, but I think the minerals are absorbing it.  AND another fantastic thing I didn't mention...my <ahem> female time came upon me the day before yesterday and I'm telling you NO zits. This is a great product and I hope it works for everyone.  I don't care how much it costs...so do your homework and buy it on Ebay from someone whose feedback you have READ and has had positive feedback and definitely read every word in the auction. 

I do see a lot of auctions for other minerals that aren't this line and I'm too afraid to try them, so look for the ones that have pictures of the product and match them to the cases on the bare minerals site just to be sure.  They are very tricky in their wording to try to sell you the other brands, so be careful!  They might work just as well, but I KNOW Bare Minerals i.d. Bare Escentuals works for me so far, so I'm not risking it.  Also, check the sizes people are posting, a lot of the auctions aren't for what is pictured, but of a SAMPLE of that item.
