First of all I would like to say that my experience with Bare Escentuals is that I have been loyal to Bare Escentuals for approximately 3 years and have been  to several Bare Escentuals boutiques around the country and  I have also shopped for Bare Escentuals not only on Ebay but on QVC and on the Bare Escentuals website.

My tips for buying Bare Escentuals are first you should call Bare Escentuals and ask them to ship you a free catalog so you can compare the items for sale on Ebay with theirs. I think it is a good practice to ask specific questions concerning items you are considering buying on Ebay especially concerning items such as makeup. Read the description carefully some sellers sell non Bare Escentuals minerals and I have never bought anything but Bare Escentuals so I am not sure of the quality of these minerals but it is your choice whether you prefer them or not.  Also considering trying some samples first I find that this is a great way of trying before you buy full sizes in my opinion 1/8 of  a tsp. is not enough to try Bare Escentuals and I prefer the sellers who offer a 1/4 tsp of the product as a sample simply because if you are new to Bare Escentuals you may need practice and you might not realize the intensity of Bare Escentuals on your first try.

Always check the sellers feedback my policy is to never buy from anyone who had less than 99.6% positive feedback and never buy from someone who has more than one negative within the past month.  Maybe thats just a personal preference but I feel if I am spending my money I expect nothing less than exceptional service.  Keep in mind that you are the consumer and never tolerate a seller with nothing less than exceptional customer service.

Now about my  tips for using Bare Escentuals:

1) FULL COVERAGE MINERALS : I suggest applying as instructed the swirl, tap, and buff but do the layers lightly and just go over the areas that need more coverage.

2) BISQUES :(bisque, summer, honey)  apply before the base color or after I suggest do the spots that are most hard to cover first and the dark undereye befor applying base.Since this can be a slightly lighter shade than your base mix a slight amount with your base if you prefer to cover the spots after the base application.

3)EYESHADOWS & LINERS: eyeshadows can be used as liner and but if you wish to use liner as shadow I would suggest mixing some mineral veil with it only because the intensity of the liner is more deep and keep in mind you only need a very small amount just turn the container over and then back and tap the top of it and then open it and you will see that the amount you have on the lid is quite enough swirl your brush in this , and if you want more color repeat the process. It may seem impossible but believe me Bare Escentuals are really a miracle in the intensity of color you get.

4)WARMTH: same as before turn over the container, turn right side up,tap the lid and open. Swirl your brush, tap and stroke the brush across the areas where you feel you need a little more color.Using warmth in the are between the eyebrow and the lid help to emphasize your eyes.

5)GLEE, RADIANCES,TRUE: these are probably some of the most versatile colors that can add an extra sparkle, luminosity or charm to your face. I usually apply after everything else after mineral veil because I don't want to mute the effect of them after I apply them.As with everything else apply lightly at first to get the feel for it.Extra tip apply True to the area you would apply liner to under your eyes, just a little bit and you will see the sparkle come out in your eyes.I prefer this look for the evening. You can even apply it over the shadow or liner you use.

6)WELL-RESTED: apply this to the whole lid and you can also apply it to the area between your nose to the corner of your eye which really brightens up yor eyes and underneath on the areas where dark circles would appear. You can also use it to tone down the intensity of your shadow or liner.

7)EYEBROW POWDER: whichever color you use go lightly at first with this and then add color as needed. Bare Escentuals does have a brush specific for this powder. If you find that you have applied too much to your eyebrows get an eyebrow brush and and brush lightly to remove some color until you achieve the look you want. Following with a clear brow gel will make it last all day. My tip: use hair gel: I take a small amount of the gel in my palm and dip my eyebrow brush in it and brush upwards.Just enough to make then look groomed but not hard and unnatural.

8)BLUSHES: great for those who like to use blush and consider using the same color on you lid to give your face a uniform look without having to guess which color to use on you lid that will match your blush

FINAL TIP: Always remember to turn the container over then right side up again tap the lid and open and use what is left in the lid, you will find that this is more than enough and it will keep you from wasting any of the color . I hope that my tips have helped anyone who is new to Bare Escentuals and if you have any questions for me about the products please don't be afraid to ask. I am here to help.
