Bare Escentuals – The Basics

Bare Escentuals is the original mineral make-up and, if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, they should indeed be flattered, as there are a ton of imitations on the market. Made of pure crushed minerals that are actually good for the skin, it’s easy to achieve a light flawless, natural look with just a few products.

While mineral make-up may be new to you, the basic products are easily recognizable.

• Multi-Tasking Bisque - a versatile concealer. Use to cover blemishes and  lighten dark areas. In neutral Bisque and tinted Summer Bisque.
• BareMinerals SPF15 Foundation - provides a natural look with light-reflecting minerals. Your choice of brush controls the coverage.  In a range of shades for different skin tones.  Mix two shades for in-between tones.
• Radiance – for a translucent natural glow, Use under, over, or mixed with foundation or blush. In Clear Radiance or Warm Radiance.
• Complexion Boosters – all-over face color. Warmth adds a sun-kissed look, especially good on Mediterranean skin tones. Glee imparts a gentle, rosy tint. True gives a natural, radiant color that looks different on every skin tone.
• Blush – natural looking color in a range of soft tones.
• Mineral Veil – a light translucent finishing touch for a flawless finish.

Quick Tips

• Use Bisque over eyelids as a base for eyeshadow, it keeps colors pure and long-lasting. Or mix with face, cheek and eye colors for custom-made shades.
• Load a retractable face brush with Mineral Veil for an instant fresh look during the day.
• Short of time?  Dust face with Mineral Veil mixed with Radiance or one of the  complexion boosters. Brush neutral Bisque on eyelids to ‘open’ eyes. Dab complexion booster over moisturized lips and  top with lip gloss. Light, fresh and quick!
