I'm writting to give people a general idea about copper.
We ourselves use bare copper in our Unique art. Bare copper will eventually change colors. It goes thru stages, brilliant and shiny to a dull brown and eventually to green. This is called patina. This process may take many years. There are a couple of factors that will play a big part as to how fast you will get the patina look. ( 1.) If the product is indoors or out. ( 2.) How much sulfur is in the air. Where we live we don't have much sulfur so it will take along time to reach this process. There are products on the market today that can speed up this process.
When you buy items at the stores, most of those items are copper coated. Over time, those will rust and break.
Also, when purchasing copper items online. Always remeber to email that person and find out if they are using a heavy guage of wire, so your product will last a lifetime.
