Baking Parchment PaperWhether you're an occasional baker or a serious one, you should consider using baking parchment paper as a pan liner. Because it is coated with silicone, you won't need to spray with vegetable spray such as Pam or butter or shortening. In our mother's day, there weren't as many choices. You greased the pan and had a big cleanup ahead of you when you were finished. Today, you just line your baking pan with parchment paper and throw it away when you are finished baking and put the baking pan away for the next time. Clean up couldn't be easier. I recommend buying parchment in full sheets and cutting them down depending on what you're baking. Instead of using foil when making barbeque chicken, give parchment a try. You can also use it to create meat and vegetable packets you bake in the oven for about 45 minutes. Our favorite is one where you place a hamburger patty, season it and top it with a slice of onion, a few slices of potato and a quartered carrot. Parchment paper is the new staple and deserves to be in your pantry.
