Did you know that if you have an apple tree that grows bad fruit, it really doesn't matter how much fruit you pick, the fruit that grows back will be bad too? You can see a bad piece of fruit on the tree, pick it, and the amount of bad fruit will actually increase. Well this is one of God's laws that is just as real as the seed time and harvest law in one of my other reviews. I have recently learned and studied this law and it's effects and applications to the human life and this is the experience that I have lived in my life. You must get to the root and chop it off, befor you can grow any GOOD fruit. In today's society and in modern medicine it is the popular thing to take a pill if you have a pain or run away if you have a problem. Go to counseling if there is trauma in your life. Blame your parents, or fix the blame for the things we do on a lable and call it mental illness. You see our behavior and are illnesses are fruit from our tree. This fruit is not good fruit and no matter how many pieces we pick off the tree, we will never get to bear truly delicious pure juicy wonderful fruit (abundant life and legacy for our children) until we are willing to get to the root and cut it off. This means if we are committing sin, we must stop blaming others and using the excuses of the damage others have done to us to justify our behavior and come before God and openly admit our sin so that He (and He is the only one who can) through the blood of Jesus. Or if we have generational illness affecting us or negative behaviors that seem to have been passed down through the generations, we need to acknowledge our forefather's sin and repent (turn away from) and break the generational curses from the root. Sometimes the things that are affecting us are completely uncontrollable. That is when you need to pick up a copy of "Blessings and Curses" from the library of Derek Prince and discover the doors that we open to cause these illnesses and curses to happen within our family and actively put a stop to it. CUT IT OFF BY THE ROOT! Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to bash modern medicine and counselors, I just know that the only way to be completely set free is through the precious blood of Jesus! Medicine and counselors help many sustain. Jesus sets people free. He cuts the root off. Nothing else can.
