The purpose of this guide is to inform buyers on counterfit Speakon look-a-likes.

=Besides the obvious fake speakon connectors out there some sellers have resorted to selling exact speakon look-a-likes to part you from your money.These fake connectors are not as easy to spot."LISTED" AS SPEAKON,NOT SPEAKON COMPATABLE,THEY LOOK EXACTLY LIKE SPEAKON NL4FC BUT ARE STAMPED "SPEAKON 4C".There has never been a speakon connector produced by Neutrik stamped speakon 4c.These connectors are illegal to sell or resell because they violate copyright and patent laws.

 =The downfall to purchasing products with these connectors is three fold:1) you get an inferior,unreliable product. 2)you loose the resale value on your investment.You can be prosecuted for selling them and people doing real pro-audio don't want them. 3) IF you buy them unknowingly and/or have a problem and complain to the seller the following is likely to happen:NO REFUND or YOU EAT SHIPPING BOTH WAYS and then YOU GET NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.The big sellers who sell this stuff know the feedback you leave will be buried in a couple of days.They also know that for the little guy one NEGATIVE looks really bad on the surface and may use this against you.(my personal experience)=Thanks Ebay for helping fix this problem.Sellers can no longer leave negative feedback.(5-23-08)

  =SUMMARY: Don't buy the fakes. If they are to cheap to pay an extra dollar to put the real speakon ends on imagine the corners cut on cable quality!

 =Before you buy review what legit speakon connectors look like and how they are marked at NeutrikUsa.com,The real ones will be marked NEUTRIK SPEAKON NL4FX, NL4FC or NL2FC.There are a few others but these are the most common.
