When my first baby was born, I received hundreds of dollars worth of teeny tiny clothes.  Ten weeks later, she out grew them. I don't want to even think about how many outfits sitting, barely worn. And then there were the ones that were the wrong size for the wrong season.  The ones with too many frills to go to the supermarket. The ones I couldn't get over her head. The ones I couldn't resist buying for some crazy hormone dirven reason. For some reason or other I was left with a small store of clothing for a 10 pound baby.

By the time she was 6 months old, she had nothing to wear. Hand me downs started trickling. My nieces, my girlfriends, my neighbor.  And occasionally an expensive trip to the mall filled in her wardrobe. That is when I wished I discovered Ebay. Looking back. I could of saved hundreds of dollars. All those things slightly worn, never worn, pre washed...I could of sold. And pretty much bought boutique items in the same condition for the next season.

For the second child, I was on the loose at ebay. First of all I was slightly over whelmed going out with 2 youngsters and tackling the mall. Not to mention it was over 100 degrees in Vegas.  The combined situation, made my computer a non stop source of shopping. At first I was hesistant, used clothing for an unknown sourc, but on my clean beautiful baby!   Then the shipments started arriving at my door. One purchase more pleasant then the next. I was hooked. And the shoes! Please...I saved a fortune on shoes alone.

And I admit, I love a bargain. But just recently I discovered, I can resell my stuff and buy for the next season...

An exchange of sorts...

Then I looked at my size 6 8 10 12 wardrobe.  Hmmm- exchange that all in too.

If it didn't fit...sold it...

Wait this Ebay thing is genuis...

So if you are considering your first purchase of clothes to be from that fancy boutique...those outfits your hormones just have to have...I say endulge. But take it home, and look it up on Ebay. I guarantee you will go right back to the store and return it. You will save money..yes even with shipping...on Ebay.  And who knows one day when the kids are napping. You just might open a sellers account...
