WHEN IT COMES TO MYSTERY AUCTIONS-

One must be careful in wording their auctions. This is a rather new catagory here on ebay and it has become quite popular! When listing a mystery auction, one must make sure they comply with Ebay guidelines. You must be specific in mentioning what the buyer is bidding on. For instance, you are just bidding on the cardboard box you see pictured. The contents are Free Gifts from me. You can add incenatives to boost your bids such as "every bidder" will receive a Free gift. But I do not believe you can tell them you will put a certain amount of cash in their paypal. Alot of people have used pictures of cash to increase their bids and sales. But you must let the buyer know if it is included or not to avoid trouble later. Alot of people are asking what is in the Mystery box? These are people who are not familiar with this new catagory but can become one of your best customers, when explained right. Take time to plan out your auction. Be specific and answer as many questions as possible without spilling the beans, so to say. Mystery Auctions are exciting! Let's keep them growing in popularity.    When considering to bid on a Mystery Auction, the first thing I always do is check the sellers feedback and rating. You can browse their other items to mabey get an idea of what they sell. It doesn't always tell you what is in the box or package. I, myself like to sell a wide variety of items. Most sellers are trying to get rid of old, unused items. For instance, I won a book, it had $5 in it. I would never even read the book. So what will I eventually do with it??? Of course, I will resell it. When bidding on a Mystery Auction, you are in a binding contract. For most mystery auctions, the sellers do not accept returns. So consider who you are buying from, and if it sounds like something you would really like. I have seen many auctions where there's alot of high bids for something just because there's a couple dollar signs. When in reality, the seller is not offering the cash just the other item you see. So read the description very carefully. A wise shopper makes out better in the end. I hope this has helped you. Thank you, mysteryauctions. Come visit me here on ebay!
