when you purchase a computer sewing machine on ebay make sure you pay via a credit card. we had an instance where my mom purchased a embroidery machine on ebay and the seller sent it broken. she tried to blame it on ups...it was quite obvious that it was sent that way there was far too much damage to the machine.It was an xl 1000 singer. she paid via paypal and it was a mess she had to wait nearly 45 days to get her money back and had she sent the item back right away and provided the tracking number so paypal could track it they wouldve refunded her immediately however it wasnt paid via credit card.

please make sure that if you do recieve something damaged and you pay by paypal that you immediately send the item back and provide paypal with the tracking number. They prefer a signed reciept however just the tracking number showing it ws recived is enough because you are screwed if the seller refuses the package.the item is no longer in your possession and they must refund. especially when the seller says the item is in working condition.

however if you pay via credit card and paypal looks as if this will take too long you can always do a charge back and have your money back within 10 days. so be very careful when purchasing any singer xl 1000 .
