Hello! Are you new to ebay? Are you an ebay pro? Either way, let us try to develop a mutual understanding. It has been brought to our attention, and from our own experience, that there are buyers and bidders who like to buy before they have the funds to pay for the item. They go randomly about buying like crazy, and then poof, they inform the sellers they don't have the funds and cannot pay for the items now. They either #1 ask the seller to delete the sales, or #2 ask the seller to wait for payment until they are able to pay, which can be from 1 to 4 weeks. The seller is in a quandary when that happens. They cannot be certain if #1 the buyer will pay for the item or #2 they'll be stuck with final value fees if the buyer doesn't agree to end the listings as mutual agreement.
If you are an ebay buyer, please, please don't bid or buy unless you have the funds to pay for the items. If you have a Credit Card, use that. If you don't like to use Credit Cards, then wait until you are financially able to make the purchases BEFORE YOU BID OR BUY! It is unfair to the sellers to do otherwise. There is a button on each listing which says "watch this item". Hit that button if you want to buy something but cannot pay for it right away. You'll have that listing visible in your My Ebay page and when you are able to purchase it, you can then Buy it! How easy is that? This is what I do on a regular basis.
If you are watching an auction, then don't bid until the last 30 seconds if you think you won't be able to afford it when it has ended. Don't make ridiculous bids, and then when the item has ended inform the seller you haven't got the funds to pay for it. That is nonsense. We love our buyers, but we'd like to get paid when we have items checked out from our ebay stores. It is only fair.
Please, please don't be an internet litter bug and drop those items you've checked out. It is illegal to do so on Ebay, and it causes the sellers worry about final value fees not getting refunded, and items not getting sold when they could have gotten sold to someone else who had the money.
Pax Christi!
