HIGH SHIPPING COST

I have been selling on Ebay now since 2001.  When my daughter purchased a hair straighten on Ebay....that cost $12.00 and she paid $80.00 in shipping...I WAS NOT A REAL HAPPY PERSON!!!

NOW I don't know about you....but someone made some really good money on that sale, mainly on SHIPPING COST!!!  YES...SHIPPING COST!!!

This item could have been mailed alot cheaper, it should have cost no more than  $12.99.  I know shipping is not cheap and I highly recommend that items be shipped using some sort of tracking number.  Such as USPS Priority Mail or UPS.    Now if I am figuring correctly on that curling iron someone made a  HUGH PROFIT OF:  $67.01 ON SHIPPING COST!!!!!

If you as a BUYER look closely at the item you are purchasing you can see for yourself.  Sometimes you think, MAN I AM GETTING AN AWESOME DEAL!!!  Guess what, when you check out, you will find you paid $2.00 for your item and $40.00, $50.00 or even $60.00 or more on SHIPPING COST!!!  THIS MY FRIEND IS NOT A DEAL!!!!  YOU ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF!!!!!!! 

So here are some very simple ways to not get RIPPED OFF!!!

• 1.  When you see an item you would like to purchase, MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE SHIPPING COST!  Now some HEAVY FRIEGHT ITEMS will cost more.  So check the weight of an item.  If it is a SMALL item, the shipping cost with handling charges should not be any more than $12.00 to $19.00. (Remember sellers use their printers alot to make copies of sales, have to run to the post office, packaging materials - all is in the handling charge part.)  NOT $40.00, $50.00, OR $60.00!!!!
• ASK QUESTIONS - You can save yourself  alot of hassle, if you just take the time to ask any questions.  A good seller will ALWAYS try and answer any questions quickly!!! 
• Check other Sellers that are selling the same items.  If the item you are looking at says it cost $2.00 and the shipping cost is $40.00.....something is not right, especially when another Seller has the same item for $23.00 and the shipping cost at $14.00.  YEP, YOU MIGHT BE PURCHASING THE ITEM AT ALMOST THE SAME PRICE....BUT...DO YOU REALLY WANT TO PURCHASE FROM A SELLER THAT HAS JUST RIPPED YOU OFF BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE NOT TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THE ACTUAL COST AND SHIPPING CHARGES!   Remember, you as a BUYER are responsible, when you purchase an item, the shipping cost is listed....if not ASK!!!  JUST CHECK the shipping cost BEFORE BUYING!!!  Don't complain afterwards!!!!!  That seems to be what everyone wants to do, is wait until AFTER the sell to complain and or leave the seller negative feedback!  As a Seller it's their responsiblity to be honest and have the shipping prices listed.  As a Buyer it's your responsiblity to CHECK and make sure you are not getting RIPPED OFF before the sale!!!
• Check a Seller's Feedback!  They have alot of Negative Feedbacks - Excessive Shipping Charges maybe be why!  Ebay does have an Excessive Shipping Charge Policy.  Read their policy below!

• Check out the Seller by clicking on USER NAME.  This will give you more information about the person you are about to purchase an item from.  Check the feedback score.  It's my opinion and I use this myself, if the feedback score is 97% or greater, I will purchase from them!
• Click more options on the Seller's Feedback Profile page and check to see if their ID has been changed within the past 30 days. 
• Add your favorite seller to your FAVORITE SELLERS LIST.  That way you can make sure to check with them and see if they have the item you are wanting.   Just send them a message and ask, they just might have want you are looking for! 
• View A Seller's About Me Page!  You might just find out some interesting things that will help you to decide if you want to purchase from that Seller or not!
• Check out their Reviews And Guides.  Sometimes a seller has been on Ebay long enough to say "I have been there done that" and might just have great information for you!

THE BOTTOM LINE IS - DON'T GET RIPPED OFF BY HIGH SHIPPING COST!!!  DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!  CHECK AND RE-CHECK!!!  ASK QUESTIONS!!!!  YOU KNOW THE OLD SAYING "IF IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE - IT USUALLY IS"!!!!

There are good deals to be found on Ebay, just use common sense, don't rush into buying anything without asking a question!!!!  Most of all Ebay is a fun place to shop - So have fun, be safe and "HAPPY SHOPPING"!!!
