As an inspiring numismatic and wanting to obtain a collection of graded coins, i had to look into this area .now to get a coin graded by PCGS you have to be a member of their "CLUB". then there is differant levels of membership (depending upon how much your wallet dictates) to me it almost like going to Atlantic City there are platuim levels gold levels and so on.If 3rd party grading is supposed to be unbaised then why does a coin being graded from company comands a high premeium then the other? What i've been told the top (3) three coin graders are PCGS NGC ANACS and if a coin thats graded MS-65 or higher. ( for sake of arguement) cost 20,000.00 in a PCGS coin holder then several thousand less in NGC and so forth ANACS being next.ARe we buying the holder or the coin? thank God for ANA and all the other coin mags and newsletters that told me to buy the coin not the holder. to look at the luster, the strike, the error and the varity etc.
thanks for taking the time to read this
