Why buy originals? When you are restoring a tractor, or implement, you want original parts...... don't settle for less when buying your literature!
Why would you want to be sure you are buying an original? Besides the reasons listed below, a copied manual, wether in paper or pdf form on a cd, holds no resell value. The companies, John Deere, Case IH, Caterpillar & several more are cracking down on the makers of the illegal copies, and they watch their auctions regularly, don't get caught bidding on one!
How to tell if the manual you are thinking of buying is an ORIGINAL....

Notice the tabbed section dividers on this technical manual. A copy will more than likely not have these!

Many sellers are now selling cheap homemade (and mostly illegal) reprints, most have dark poor quality pictures that are almost unreadable.

A trick being used by some reprinters is to never show a picture of the manual, or mention it's a reprint. No picture, there is a 99% chance your getting an illegal bootleg reproduction that will be missing the harder to copy features, like

color pictures/drawings & foldouts.

Low starting bid. You know if you've been trying to buy that service or technical manual, that a starting bid of 99 cents is too good to be true! These manuals aren't cheap for us to buy, nobody can sell them at that low price legitimately.
