If you are like most of us, you have spent some terrorizing moments standing in front of a jammed closet realizing that you have NOTHING TO WEAR. eBay not only has 10 million items for sale, but many sites such as Eileen Fisher, Chico's, Coldwater Creek and Misook offer wardrobe co-ordination in their respective clothing lines. Begin to build a basic core wardrobe, add some signature items to make those pieces your own and begin to enjoy getting dressed and enjoy the compliments that are sure to come your way.
- Build a Better Wardrobe, Part 1. You must have 'go to' items that you can pull together with one hand tied behind your back and blindfolded. These items do not involve safety pins, special under garments, hiking the skirt or pants up to your bra, etc. It is a plus, as well, if an iron and a can of spray starch aren't needed. Basics should include skirt, full length pants, crop pants and 2-3 assorted tops and tanks that work with all items. Nobody does this better the Chico's Travelers line. In my own closet, I have 2-3 pairs of crops (in a couple of sizes, I might add). Same with pants and skirts. Long sleeves, tanks, jackets...all out of the same wonderful, no wrinkle fabric.
- Build a Better Wardrobe, Part 2. You must make this look your own. Top with fun and funky tops and jackets. Sweaters add color. Tie one around your shoulders for color or texture. Be known for your jewelry-always having the unusual designer touch. Again, Chico's does the best job of getting us dressed and out the door. Their line has so many components that the possibilites are endless.
