If you are one of the folks who had to have the Newest BlackBerry Storm...don't quite give up your Iphones until you find out all the info. First of all the BlackBerry Storm is exclusive to Verizon...you can get the Blackberry Storm if you sign up for a 2 year contract. The Apple I phone that I gave up and gave to my wife has a sim card that can be used for many other services, but not Verizon.
I previously had a family contract with ATT which was far cheaper with more minutes. The only problem I had with ATT is after contacting their Customer Service 3 times, they failed to inform me that a new Blackberry Bold was on the market. This phone is ok, but I do not like the fixed keyboard and smaller screen after using the storm. The Apple Iphone is about 1/2 inch longer than the Vorizon Blackberry Storm...not really noticeable.
The real problem I am having with the BlackBerry Storm is that it is so new that they are still having problems with some programs such as downloading Music, and constantly locking up....you have to take the back off, pull the battery out and replace. Wait a few minutes until the phone resets. The Apple Iphone has 2 buttons to push to reset the phone without taking off the back.
The things I really like about the BlackBerry Storm over the Iphone are the Voice Navigation, Video capabilities, Music, when it works...hope they have a program fix soon.. The pictures and automatic focus with flash are absolutely wonderful...got rid of my regular camera. The Tactile keyboard is a breeze, especially when you have the screen in a horizontal position. The key you are pressing lights up and after you press feel a click and have a letter typed out. Very easy to use and learn.
BEWARE:
There are literally hundreds of components made in China that do not work....maybe 10% of the time and please do not get sucked in by these "As Seen On TV" Antenna Boosters....save your money because you do not need them. I'm currently having some issues with Chinese Sellers on "Junk" that they are selling for very cheap prices...you get what you pay for. The head phones with speaker work pretty well...surprise..The cases are pretty good, but anything electronic is a piece of "Junk"....they multi kits seem like a pretty good deal...they're not!
I could go on for another page or so, but am touching the tip of my new experiences on the BlackBerry Storm and past experience on the Iphone. I feel the bottom line is....the Apple Iphone is the best, it's smaller, but has a bigger screen, but the battery cannot be changed..only by a licensed tech. However, there are portable charging batteries that connect to the bottom of the Apple Iphone.
Hope this helps and perhaps saves you some hard earned Cash.
