Every day my poor email box is full
.....with free offers that have become a golden rule ....
These free offers by strangers who find you on a list ....

" Would you like a free widget today? " so they say ...
WOW a FREE WIDGET for me - just for me that couldn't be ...NO WAY !
"Just fill out a small survey and your free widget is on its way"
The stupidity in me arises and I think "YES I DO, I do want this free widget"
So I type away my identity, the free widget on my mind :)
Dear Lord how many times will I fall into this time consuming trap
Before I realize that in the end all I get for free is crap!
Nothing this widgety is for free and yet they tempt us everyday
For a real nice free widget that's worthless unless you pay
My identity means noting and it is secure so I am told
My ignorance keeps me clicking expecting the free widget to unfold
Do you want this? do you want that? you only pay for shipping ...... AHAA! therein the traps begin
so ..... if you really want this free widget be prepared to give up at the very least your credit card digits
And in the end if you do get the free widget and it doesn't work .......
Paying to get rid of it will make you the real jerk

Snagged again - and I am not too happy about it
I am not stupid, at least I like to think that I'm not.
This is an alluring presence that lurks everywhere on the internet and may trap even the strongest, most self - controlled internet surfer. I hope never to be trapped again!!
