First Question is... What is Spoofing?
Spoofing is when a person pretends to be a company or person, and then tricks you into giving up your personal information such as credit cards or account details.
For example someone impersonating ebay and asking for your password or asking you to log in.
Here are 2 emails i received recently. They are pretty convincing. It even appears to come from ebay and paypal from the "From:" Section.

They even were able to fake where the email comes from.
Yes, its is a scary and risky business.
So how do you avoid spoofing??
Never log in from a link in your email unless you are 100% sure it is from ebay. It is always safer to go to your browser window and type in www.ebay.com or www.ebay.co depending on the link you use.
Be Advised, Spoofing occurs with more that just ebay. It happens with Aol, Paypal, and any other service. So just be safe and log in from the website that YOU TYPE. Dont click a link or let anyone type it for you, because that could just lead you down the wrong path.
Also do not publicize your Email Address. These Fakers will get easy access to you send you junk that way.
So if Ebay or Paypal sent it. Then you should be able to access it form Ebay.com or Paypal.com. It is that simple.
