If you are offered an second chance offer, the first thing you should do is check your ebay messages by signing into my ebay. If there is no second chance offer there, there is no second chance offer. I had an experience where I received a second chance offer on a guitar for $1451 and the email looked so much like an official ebay email it nearly hooked me, even though I consider myself to be very aware of scams. The sender of the email asked for my name and address so he could send me an official ebay notice etc. Just for the heck of it I hit reply in my mail program and it was directing me to member@secondchanceoffers.com which was a phony email. Had I sent the money via PayPal, he would have soon closed the account and run. Additional emails had spelling and syntax errors, but he had me for a couple minutes. . . . Other things that didn't add up were his name in the emails didn't match the name of the seller and he didn't answer specific questions I asked. He did offer to pay shipping though! He went by the name Peter Rowland but I'm sure he has numerous fake email addresses.
